Happy Birthday !
Lilian.
Happy Birthday!
There's nothing special for you from us, Team Legend. But also hope you like such a card.

p.s.
1.One slide is not to be shown here.
2. The poem is written by me at 1:30 late in the night, with nothing to refer to. I love the peom, not because I am the author, but because it is beautiful.
Legend
You are the butterfly you set free
You cut the sunshine in an angle we never try
You pick up the tangled wind and drop it into the deep woods
Seems it never exist
Once you have been to the peaceful lake
But we can’t find your singing soul
Because
You are the legend
Since you were born
You are our legend that never fades
Wish you find the one who never leave
Never oppress your beauty and freedom
And make you smile
Forever
HAPPY BIRTHDAY

The last lecture by Randy Pausch
Well, almost one month has passed when finally I pick up the blog again. Everything was driving me mad until a week ago when I earn my happiness and power again. I keep busy and doubt that I don’t have the desire to write long passage again. You know, that situation is just like a poet doesn’t want to write a poem, a pianist not to play the piano and a student not to study.
Until something touches you, knocks your heart and finally beats you.
It’s not something emerging suddenly. It accumulates and you don’t even notice it just like cold water running below the ice board.
And one day the spring comes and the ice breaks. That ice breaker in my life recently is Randy Pausch. Tonight I watch the video of the Last Lecture, given by Randy Pausch.

Maybe you all don’t know him. So it’s necessary to introduce him first.
Randy Pausch
Absolute he is an awesome professor. Not to mention his academic achievement, his spirit make shim more attractive. You can see a fraction of his academic achievement in his lecture, but you can definitely feel his spirits about dream and life.
As a man who is dying in a few months because of cancer, you can still feel his happiness, his persistence to dream, his power and his love. In the last lecture he made the audience laugh every minute while he may be dead just a few months later. And in his life he enables others to realize their dreams and makes his own dreams come true.
The brick wall
The brick wall appears in his PPT for several times. Yes, there’s always a brick wall for dream climbers. But he said:
Brick walls are there for a reason: they let us prove how badly we want things.
Brick walls just stop those who don’t want it so badly. And we will finally get through the wall because we want it badly. There’s about the dream and the setback. He is right and he realize his dreams.
How to get people help you
l You can’t get there alone, and I believe in Karma
l Tell the truth
l Be earnest
l Apologize when you screw up
l Focus on others, not yourself (for example …
When he talked about the example, a really big cake came up the platform, and it’s for Randy’ wife. His wife cried for the happiness. You can’t imagine a wife accompanying his husband for the last days when received such a cake and a birthday songs form such a large audience. She didn’t anything. No words can express such feeling.
Well, I can’t write everything down. You’d better watch the whole lecture. I’m sure you’ll something to inspire your life.

For Libra Today
It has been a long time since the last time I write something in English! I just don't want to do it, really. Maybe there's still an excuse for being busy.
Not in good mood.
Then I happened to open my google calendar today and find something for Libra as follows.
Familiar territory gives way to unfamiliar ground as the Winged Messenger leaves your sign. You may have been developing an idea over these past weeks, and although it still seems possible, your attitude is starting to shift. As you become more passionate about your life, you may need to set aside an unrealistic goal. If it's truly important, it will return when the time is right.
Thursday, September 27, 2007I found it absolutely right.I still keep on reading English everyday but write nothing. Now, I decide to write every week, maybe just one blog post one week, but that would be useful for me now. -

We Are All Freshmen
Another semester is beginning, full of classes, materials for study, and happiness, anxiety, lost, success and failure. It’s difficult to forecast what will happen this semester, what will be found and what will be lost. Even before the first day in class, I can smell the smoke of a coming war.
I want to be an exchange, to Hong Kong or to Singapore. But in front of me, there’s still a long way, tough with detours and curves. Here the guys are really competitive in the school of business. I don’t have much confidence at the thought of being at war with the top students in the college. But when I turn to my resume, I can still see lights ahead of me. Anyway, I am one of the top students in the college, too.
Lot’s things need to be done in a week. The problem is not that they are too much for me, but that I don’t clearly know how to prepare. What should be done? Paperwork can be done in a short time, but many things behind that need carefully taken into consideration. But I believe things will be better if I communicate with the exchanges last year. They are nice. Their suggestions would be very useful.
Freshmen have rolled in for several days. They look at the campus in a special way, just as we did two years ago. What do they see? Things change a lot during the last two years. We change a lot. All of us try seeking something important in our lives. Maybe it is here, or there out of the campus. Anyway, we strive to become happy, or successful, to become the kind of person what we want to be. We are all motivated and learn hard. We are all freshmen.
If you feel yourself getting older and have no desire to change, then you are really old. Follow the freshmen, change ourselves and learn hard. If you dare to take your time, change a bit and learn just like we need to be filled as a empty bottle., you are freshmen.
we are all freshmen, in the long term of study.

mindmap(2)
4. Connect the centre figure with the main embranchments, then connect the main embranchments with the secondary embranchments, and then the third embranchments, and so on.
Why? Because, as you know, you think with connection. If you connect the embranchment, it’ll be easier for you to understand and remember things. At the same time you create the basic structure of your thinking by doing so. It is much similar to a tree, whose branches spread out from the trunk. If there’s a break between trunk and main branches or main branches and smaller branches, a problem will break out. If there’s no linking line in your mindmap, everything(especially in the process of your study and memory)will break down. So connect!
5.Make the embranchment of the mindmap curving but not straight.
Why? Because your brain is getting tired of the beelines. Curves and embranchment, just like branches on the tree, will attract you more.
6. Write a keyword beside every line.
Why? Because every single word can make the mindmap more powerful and animated. Every word and picture is just like a mother, boring sons related to herself and connected to each other. It helps you to generate new ideas when you use a single keyword, and the word will become free. But phrases and sentences will easily kill such inspiration. It is like a agile hand with keywords in it, while others full of phrases and sentences are just like hands pinned on the board.
7. Use figures from the start and to the end
Why? Because a figure is as informative as 1000 words, just like the centre figure. So, if your mindmap contains 10 figures, you have kept a 1000-word-note.
Up to now, my opinion on mindmap is: describe your ideas with figures, no matter by hand or by using a software. You can draw yourself or find some to copy, or combine both, according to your tastes.

mindmap
Today I read something about mindmap. Mindmap, in simple words, is a tool with map to descript or express ideas. When using mindmap you can store the information in maps and key words, so it will facilitate your presentation or briefing.
I translate something from a blog about mindmap.
1. Start from the centre of a blank sheet of paper, with spaces around.
Why? Because if you start from the centre, you can get your imagination in every direction, so you can express yourself more freely and naturally.
2. Convey your main idea with a map or a picture.
Why? Because a map is more than a thousand words. It can enable you to use your imagination. The more interesting the map is, the more you can centralize your attention, and the more excited you are.
3. Use colores!
Why? Because colors, as well as maps, can excite your brains.
Too late now. I will continue tomorrow. I want to lead a healthy way of liiving, from now on.

The Tree
Today we have a wonderful trip from Mega city to South China Universty of Technology, by bicycle! Wow...Now I am here.
More will be said next time. Now I can't speak anymore, for time limited.
So, forward something, again.
The Tree
Link:http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/CreatingYourNameBrand/~3/143133672/
There is something about a tree, something special and ultimately existential. There’s the tree of life, the learning tree, the family tree, and The Giving Tree. Maybe it is because I’ve been so indoctrinated that I find such meaning in a tree. As a child I used to climb them. I’d tell my mother, an artist, to paint them. And when I had my personal web-site done, I knew a tree was the symbol I wanted to express myself with.
Why do I associate with trees? There is something about a tree. A tree can teach us so much about life and identity. A tree will always have its roots, just like us. We are all planted. As time goes on, a tree will grow in many directions, but you can always trace back its paths, find the same base, and ultimately the same roots. During the seasons and under different conditions, the tree will adapt, exfoliate, and start a new. Just like a tree, we all face circumstances and must adapt to the daily pressures of life. We too can rid ourselves of previous images and representations. Perhaps everything is connected, just a metaphor we can discover.
Coming from an artist’s home, I was taught that to find your connection to your personal identity, the images, colors, and temperaments that you link yourself with can communicate everything. I’ve chosen trees as my symbolic image and I chose red as my primary color. Red in Hebrew, comes from the root word “Adam” which literally means earth and man. It also conveys fire and passion, two symbols I immediately associate with. As a writer, personal brander, and blogger, I know that the content I provide is another communicative force to take into account. How much more powerful is a message when you converge all of these separate ingredients like content, color, and symbol into one message?

Friendship vs Time
Friendship vs Time
What shall we be five years later? And what will all the things about us look like in 15 years?
I could felt the sharpness of time from the faces of the graduates who left the campus 15 years ago, in the party of old-classmate getting together yesterday. I just put some fruit and listened on the scene. Somewhat like an ordinary workman. These guys, after 15 years, had surfed in the waves of business and finally became an entrepreneur, a high-level accountant, an official in the government office or a manager. Long time passed, the campus remained tranquil but the owners had changed for many times.
The hottest word that talked about was friendship. I still remembered that one of them said, nowadays people measured the friendship by the business they made. The bigger deal, the more friendship. But the friendship between classmates was totally deferent, which involved nothing about benefit. And that was the true friendship. If you asked help, they would help against all the odds.
And one of them even talked to us, fellow students, when we were leaving. He said, in the college, there were three key words. First, of course, the study, the job we must accomplish successfully. Second, EQ, learning how to be involved in the society and control yourself. Third, friendship, these friends are friends indeed. They are of the most helpful and usable resources in your life.
I did see a lot in them. Maybe something more can be found and worth learning. But the time for us chatting was not enough. And I found myself not good at communicating with the ones who are 15 years older than me.
Just imagine what will happen after 15 years. We are getting mature day by day, the things are changing day by day, the links between people are transforming day by day, something will be lost and something will be attained. Our minds will be different or just totally the opposite, but what about our heart?
Can friendship last that long? Non-believers say it is just an imagination. And I will say some will be still on the priority of my life, some will fade, and some will be forgotten without any notice. That’s just life. We are travelers in the earth, and partner of the others. Some partners of us stay for seconds, some stay longer, while some stay for a whole life.

A Whole New Day
Tired and sleepy tonight, so jsut forword a spatacular article here.
P.S. Something new on the right sidebar below, have you noctice that?
From: http://www.successful-blog.com/1/a-whole-new-day/
What Are You Waiting for?
It’s a whole new day.
Look at the sky.
We’ve never seen that exact sky before, nope, not that one. It’s brand new today.
What will you do to celebrate it?What whole new thought will you bring to the whole new you that woke up this whole new morning? Will you take a whole new minute to savor an idea?
Will you have a whole new cup of coffee or your favorite tea, while you while away some time just looking out the window on a whole new day that’s just beginning?
Might you plan a whole new way of doing something? Take a whole new walk around a whole new block outside your building. Say a “hello” to a whole new someone you might like to meet.
Will you take a chance at finding a whole new side to someone who you’ve known for what seems like forever? Could you start a whole new habit of smiling for no good reason?
You have a whole new day to think of something.
It’s your life and the coolest part is tomorrow will be a whole new day all over again.
Holy cow! Can you believe a blue, blue sky like that? It’s a whole new way of seeing.
